Once a neuroscience professor at Michigan State University, I now identify as a fiber artist. Using methods like free motion quilting and embroidery, applique, knitting and crocheting, my creations are for all ages, including quilted wall art, handy quilted pouches and travel bags, warm and cozy hand knitted hats and scarves, and fun and sometimes whacky crocheted stuffed animals. Most items in the exhibit are designed by me and all are made by me. Each is a one-of-a-kind; rarely do I manage to replicate the same design. (Plus, it’s less fun.) I use exclusively natural fibers (cotton and wool yarns and fabrics) in my creations. I hope to see you!
